About the Fulbright
The Fulbright Program in Pakistan is accepting applications for graduate study (Master’s and PhD programs) in the United States. The award covers tuition, required textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance.
USEFP also assists with the visa process.
Women, people with disabilities, and individuals from underrepresented regions and groups are highly encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
- Pakistani citizens with strong academic histories.
- For Master’s: a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a Bachelor’s and Master’s combination totaling 16 years of formal education.
- For PhD: a Master’s, MPhil, or comparable degree (18 years of formal education).
- Applicants must take the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) before or by the application deadline.
- Applicants must also be proficient in spoken and written English.
Persons with dual U.S./Pakistani nationality or who have a spouse, parent, fiancé, or child over 18 years of age who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident are not eligible.

- Application form, 3 reference letters, GRE score report, and scanned transcripts (including an explanation of the grading scale of the university issuing the degree) must be submitted.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The TOEFL is not required at the time of application. Only applicants shortlisted for interviews will be required to take the TOEFL.

Applications from all disciplines are welcome, except clinical medicine.
